TIAC Announces New President & CEO

Tourism HR Canada congratulates Beth Potter on her appointment as the new President and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC).

Beth has a long and distinguished career in Canada’s tourism sector, including most recently serving as the President and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO). She is a recognized leader with more than 30 years of experience in the not-for-profit and tourism industries and has worked with a variety of boards and committees, including her recent contributions to the World Travel & Tourism Council’s tourism recovery efforts.

Tourism HR Canada welcomed Beth to its Board of Directors in August 2020, and looks forward to continuing to collaborate to support tourism’s recovery and rebuild a skilled, resilient tourism workforce.

“Beth’s powerful advocacy on behalf of the tourism sector in Ontario has been instrumental in ensuring support for our hard-hit sector,” stated Philip Mondor, President and CEO of Tourism HR Canada. “Her extensive experience and passion for the tourism industry will be a tremendous asset at the national level, and we are delighted at this opportunity to work with her as part of the incredible team at TIAC.”

Beth will begin her new role on March 15, 2021.

TIAO’s Vice President for Membership and Business Development, Carol Greenwood, will serve as interim President and CEO for the provincial association.
