What the committee will do
The committee will create a standard to help make tourism experiences more inclusive and accessible for all. The standard will propose best practices to:
- make infrastructure in tourist facilities, like museums or hotels, more accessible;
- design booking and tour operation systems to be accessible to everyone.
Who should apply?
Accessibility Standards Canada is looking for individuals who understand accessibility barriers in tourism and can bring solutions to the table. This includes:
- persons with disabilities and lived experiences;
- industry experts, academics, standards users, policy makers, and members of the general public.
