Empowering Tourism Talent – Discover Skills That Travel

Tourism HR Canada is a proud partner on the Skills That Travel microsite, a workforce development initiative of the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO).

The site features a curated collection of courses, training pathways, and practical resources to support every stage of the tourism career journey, from entry-level to advanced. It’s also designed to help showcase the benefits of a career in tourism to prospective job seekers, with tools that make it easier to engage and inspire.

Access to training—including our own Emerit eLearning—is complimentary for eligible Ontario residents until March 30, 2026 or until programs reach capacity.

If you are an employer, industry leader, workforce development professional, educator, employment service provider, or community leader, Skills that Travel offers the resources you need to support tourism workers and job seekers in building meaningful, future-ready careers.

Partnerships are at the heart of this initiative and include regional tourism organizations, Indigenous Tourism Ontario, Destination Northern Ontario, in addition to the sector’s leading workforce development organizations including the Hospitality Workers Training Centre, Ontario Tourism Education Corporation (OTEC), and us at Tourism HR Canada.

Join us in shaping the future of the tourism workforce. Explore the site, share it with your colleagues and job seekers within your network and community, and let us know what you think!
