Human Resource Module of the Tourism Satellite Account
Tourism HR Canada is pleased to announce the release of the 2014 Human Resource Module (HRM). Produced by Statistics Canada, the HRM provides the following statistics for the tourism sector as a whole and for each tourism industry group: jobs, hours worked, compensation, and educational attainment. These statistics are available by sex, by work status, by age group, by immigrant status and by occupation.
Tourism HR Canada will analyze and compile the information in the HRM to create specialized reports that are of interest to tourism stakeholders. To request specific information, contact email@example.com.
Information for each province and territory is available through the Provincial-Territorial Human Resource Module (PT-HRM). The most recent PT-HRM was released on June 7th, 2017 and contains data for the years 2007 to 2015. To request specific information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rapid reSearch Tool
The original data sets for both the HRM and PT–HRM are large and drawing specific information from them can be daunting, even for those familiar with the available tables. Tourism HR Canada wants tourism stakeholders to have access to data when you need it and in the form you want it.
As part of our initiative to improve the quality of information available on the tourism labour force, Tourism HR Canada has developed Rapid reSearch, a program that allows anyone to search the PT-HRM for the specific information they require. Go to Rapid reSearch.
